Today I'm linking up with Karla at Technology Tailgate.
I can't tell you how fortunate I feel to have found this gem!
I loveeeee technology in the classroom!!!
Now I need wipe tears as I give back my 20 little ones and give back my cart full of 20 mini lap-tops. My kids used their lap-tops for Raz-Kids, Sum Dog and Nat Geo. Ohhhhh how they love their lap-tops.
Raz-Kids: Students read interactive e-books! They earn stars to buy items for their Raz Rocket. I have several students that earned over 5,000 stars and a couple earn over 20,000. There is a cost for Raz-Kids.
Sum Dog: FREE, FREE, FREE website for students to practice basic facts. Did I mention it's FREE! My kids loveeeeeeeee it!
Click my Symbaloo post to see what I used for Brain Breaks!
Check out this video and "Pay Attention" to why technology is sooooo important.
I too have little ones (27 of them) and 27 laptops! Several of the programs I was familiar with, my kids LOVED SumDog too, that you mentioned above but I am going to have to look more into Nat Geo and what you did for brain breaks! Thanks for always sharing so many great ideas!

Learning to the Core
Congratulations on finishing your year! I made a movie also for the end of the year with my class using Animoto. It has free teacher "plus" accounts.
ReplyDeleteI have also used Sumdog this year and my third graders love it!
